Create Facebook Landing Page HTML iFrame Edition Video

This video is all about how to create a landing page with the Static HTML: iFrame tabs application. This is necessary after March 11, 2011 because Facebook is getting rid of the ability to create tabs with FBML.

HTML makes it easier to create facebook landing pages

Now, with HTML, you'll have an easier time jazzing up your landing page with things like opt-in forms, videos, pictures and just making it look great to get people to more quickly click the 'like' button of your page and become a fan.

With the Static HTML iFrames Tab Application, you also have the ability to create a landing page for both non-fans and fans.

Please share or embed this video as you wish. Thanks for your support. Cheers!

Facebook and the Static HTML: iFrame tabs application

Facebook eliminated the Static FBML app for Facebook pages, which was what most people were using to build custom landing pages and tabs in pages. For now, the FBML pages function as normal but no new tabs can be added.

Any new tabs have to be created with the new app via the Facebook Developers website.

With the new app you can create a Facebook landing page as a regular web page which allows you to design it any way you choose. You can now easily include many elements such as:

Facebook Like Button

  • Moving images
  • Analytics
  • Videos
  • Twitter

Since it is HTML based you can create your page on an HTML editor and drop it into the iframe giving you the look you want.

I hoped you learned that this video is all about how to create a landing page with the Static HTML: iFrame tabs application. This is necessary after March 11, 2011 because Facebook is getting rid of the ability to create tabs with FBML.
