With affiliate marketing, you may get extra money into your bank account with a little bit of work. And if your web site or blog has good content, why not get into the Google AdSense program as well?
Affiliate Marketing Online
Affiliate marketing is the coolest and probably the best way to earn profits online because you don’t have to create your own products. It’s a real hassle trying to create eBook covers and graphics, not to mention sales pages.
With affiliate marketing all of the hard work is done for you.
And most affiliate products are well crafted, high quality products. But as always, make sure to conduct research before you commit to selling someone else’s product.
On the other hand, if you are a person who would rather sell your own products online than advertise other Internet marketer’s products on your web site prepare for a big learning curve. Learning to create quality products and eye catching graphics will be a night mare.

Most of the big name Internet marketers such as Liz Tomey and Skip McGrath hire other people to create their products for them. The hire separate vendors for different parts of a product. For example, they have one company design the graphics such as headers and footers and they have a professional copy writer write their sales page.
Affiliate Marketing Analyzed
Affiliate marketing is a relationship or contract between two entrepreneurs. One person being the merchant and the other being the affiliate.
In the agreement, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise her products on the affiliate’s web site or to a mailing list.
The merchant, on the other hand, would pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. Merchant payouts vary from person to person but I’ve noticed that the average is about 40-70 percent. The affiliate gets more money most of the time.
This means easy income for the affiliate because the only thing required is to place the retailer’s ad on his web site or send the product to a mailing list.
This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.
Affiliate Payment Methods
There are different methods on how the dealer would pay the affiliate for his services.
The pay per click method is the most preferred by affiliates because the web site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s web site for them to get paid. Google is probably the biggest PPC program on the market.
The other two methods are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor actually buys their product
Generating a lot of profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method as it does on the traffic generated by your web site.
A web site that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.
Marketing With Google AdSense
Google AdSense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program.
In Google AdSense, Google acts as the negotiator between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the promoter, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text and banner ads pertaining to their goods.
These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s web site, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the web sites owned by the affiliates, or by those web masters who have signed up with the Google AdSense package
With Google AdSense, all the web master has to do is place a code on his web site and Google takes care of the rest.
The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be related to the matter of your web site.
This would be valuable both for you and for the sponsor, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being marketed.
The Google AdSense program pays the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google then forwards this amount to you through checks after they deduct their fees.
Google AdSense checks are typically delivered monthly. Also, the Google AdSense program provides web masters with a tracking tool they call Channels.
Channels allows you to monitor the earnings you receive from an ad.
Where Will Your Internet Marketing Efforts Lead?
Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google AdSense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate.
Merchants
For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms.
Web Master - Publisher
For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating web sites.
And if you combine all your profits from both the Google AdSense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.
